Come one, come all to a fun and exciting performance at the one and only, busiest building in Canada – Union Station!

On December 18th to the 20th from 3:45 pm – 7:45 pm, commuters at the Union Station’s York St. Go Concourse will be delighted and entertained by professional circus performers, including a stilt walker, a juggler, and two acro-contortionists.

The activation is designed to showcase 20th Century Fox’s latest film, The Greatest Showman, which premieres in theatres across Canada on December 20th. The film, featuring Hugh Jackman, is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business. The film tells the story of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation; it’s fitting that a live circus performance would be leveraged to create buzz and excitement for the film.

Film: The Greatest Showman

Working closely with Branded Cities, who operate premier digital and static Out-of-Home assets at the York St. Go Concourse and throughout Union Station, 20th Century Fox will surround and immerse audiences with branded creative, brand ambassadors, and a one-of-a-kind circus show in the heart of the busy commuter hub. Audiences at the concourse will be amused as they wait for their Go Train or simply pass by on route to major attractions, Air Canada Centre, Ripley’s Aquarium, CN Tower, and many others.

“Because the ethos of the film moves far beyond a straight circus narrative — to focus on the power of uniqueness and inclusion — this activation made a lot of sense to us: it is a visceral example of individuality in a shared space,” states Costas Andreopoulos, Vice President of Marketing at Twentieth Century Fox Canada.

In addition to the circus performances, 20th Century Fox will be screening the movie trailer and featured song and take over the York St. Go Concourse with a digital column domination on December 18th to showcase The Greatest Showman to the thousands of daily commuters who frequent Union Station.
